Following a recent Spam post we have managed to trace the user and report them to their ISP, we have also taken the opportunity to ban the whole IP Block from registering from the site again. We have also taken a number of other measures that will help reduce this unwanted addition.

Should you see anything that should be on the pages, give one of the mods a PM or report the post.

We are applying filters as the spam accounts are added which will greatly improve the issue in the future. Moving forward with giant steps.

what we, the less well computer orientated peeps must wrap our heads round is this little gem, LloydIS A GENIOUS, and to make it worse he has told trev lots of bits and pieces as well, then there is pete who appears to know far more than a gentlman of his years should, so while i totaly see where prit and nobby are coming from i think its up to those of us that are not too oh fay with technology to raise our game, then eventualy when they put up a post with, isp andip block and other unfathomable bits, we will be able to say, oh right one of those again.:giveup::giveup:

Right madd,
to give you a clue, the ISP is your Internet Service Provider. They're the nice people that provide you with the ability to connect your computer to the web in exchange for some of your hard earned cash.

An IP address is an Internet Protocol address, and the word address gives the game away here in that it is assigned to your computer by the Internet Service Provider.

Now if you do naughty things on the net with your PC and people report it to your ISP, they know where to find you, and can send the boys round to make you see the error of your ways. :crash:

Behind the forum in the Admin/Moderator tools will be some form of IP detection allowing lloyd :adminpower: to block an IP address thus denying access to the forum from a PC using that address.:banned:

There's lots more to it, but that's enough for now.:original:

actualy graham not many people will know this, but if you fish a single isp on a kammy 911 size 18 and just trickle the odd ip in wiv a toss pot you will probbly catch loads of pixels ( thats if they are in the lake in the first place ) its worked a treat for me this winter , if you try this and struggle for bites have a word with pete m he is very familiar with this sort of thing, tight lines.

The trouble with using IP's on the hook is that they can lead to your to your swim filling up with :nospam: :bleh:

Madd,
There you go jumping the gun again. I was just replying to Graham's post and advising on the perils of using IP's on the hook :bleh:
Is it true that you've enjoyed some success using ISP's covered in chocolate body paint, or just a wicked rumour put about by those that are jealous of your results? :naughty:

i have found the best results can be acheived by using the IP's in 12 point italics and mixing them with the ISP's in 10 point italics.
these are mixed using the copy and paste tactics and fished near the windows explorer bar.
i have caught several trojan horses and several viruses in a session like this but thankfully i failed to catch any spam.
try not to drip feed at all as this will attract pixels if present and you will get bytes from mixed resistors, causing memory damage if hooked..........

Paul,

You'll only end up with a net full of HTTP if you do that!@!!

ISPs, IPs, 12 point italics, 10point italics etc, we tried them all last sat at S.moor in the VDE Ko cup.
Still came 3rd out of 3 teams.
Think i will stick to pellets in future,
cheers graham.
