Roy Makins; 28th Feb 2010 win at Greensands fishery Bigglewade. 8lb 2 oz. 12 fished in the rain and gales and I drew peg 40. With only 45 minutes left I was cold and bored after only catching one small carp, I had a walk and returned to pack up. Tried one last chuck and I then caught 4 more carp in the last 15 minutes and sneaked the match on single maggot over micro pellets.

he had 5 carp for 8lb lee work it out for yourself :toptwit:

Lee. It is 14m wide, but the last metre is only inches deep and you can see the bottom at the moment. The carp are normally about 1lb to 1.5lb each. I had one of 3lb, a lump!

I have not been there since early December, but even in the very cold weather the weights were much better, so I was told and Sundays weights were very grim. It was a full moon, very windy, cold and very rainy. So there must be an excuse or two here for us anglers.

Well done Roy. Do you fish up Greensands much? I have only fished one open match up there,even though it is only 15minutes from my house!!
I will be looking to fish up there a bit more this year.
