As fromApril 1st 2010 the owners of the fishery have decided to go over to Fishery own pellets.
I have been told as open match organiser that this rule must be adhered to and any person at the bank side found with or seen using any other feed pellet other than that provided by the fishery, must be disqualified.
The thing to do is make sure that you if you are attending any of the opens you check your bag before hand to save any problems, and if your unsure ask.
I will try and remember to post a set of rules up before hand and will remind everyone when advertising the matches.

Hi Trev.
Would you still be ok to use your own paste, or has this not been mentioned.
I can understand why fisheries do this, but it is a pain.I have got loads of un-used pellet in my shed from different fisheries, and thet are never as good as the GOT pellet.

Hi Barry
Yes its just the feed pellet, so in a nut shell no feeding Expanders or any other pellet apart from the fishery own.
Quite looking forward to it myself.:original::gotbaits:

hi trev is this rule ment to level the playing field in these opens as in my humble opinion a bait limit would be a fairer way to do that however i suppose that could affect the amount of pellet that the fishery sells and as the old saying goes bisiness is bisiness

To be honest as I have said before if you went to limits then you will all ways get someone who will accuse (most times behind a persons back ) of cheating.
If and I say if, you can purchase 4 bags for£10.00 then for me that would be more than enough for most matches.
We like everyone will now be using the pellet and like everyone ME in particular have budgets, my plan is to buy two lots of four on the first visit, my estimation is to use about 5 bags per match that should work out around £50 for 4 Matches any I dont use I will make paste seems logical to me.
I fished the Glebe last summer and it was fishery own pellet, which i paid £3.50 per bag x 6 over £20 for one match just on pellet as some would say Farcicle.
Anyone who cant see this is being done for the overall good and long term future of the fishery is simply wrong.
You can hear it now Thorpey on a flyer half way through running out of pellet "Someone lend me a tenner for bait"

Rules are rules and as such HAVE to be adhered to. Having said that, there are always one or two who will try to break or at least bend them. I know, I have had first hand experience whilst 'policing' our sponsored event.
The fishery pellet only rule is fine as long as they dont charge stupid money for a bag. Only problem is that you end up with any amount of pellets which you can't use on other venues.
I use GOT pellets by choice but have had to use fishery ones occasionally. Wonder which one is better??!! Only one way to find out......http://www.edinburghnapiernews.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/harry_hill-1-245-250-85-nocrop1.jpg
FIGHT!!!!!
Only joking............of course GOT win hands down!!!!
